Fabric Spotlight: Dashwood Studio
Dashwood Studio is a popular fabric manufacturer in the shop. Dashwood Studio is a small UK design house set up in 2013 with one simple aim: to bring innovative, contemporary fabrics that will challenge and inspire the creative soul. Dashwood Studio is dedicated to sourcing brilliant design talent and collaborating with great artists to bring their wonderful artworks to life. Once a collection is ready, they work closely with their print mills to produce the best quality fabric.
We have a large selection of these fabrics and are excited for the future collections that are on order. Here’s a look at what we stock.
Blast Off | Stephanie Thannhauser
The Blast Off fabric collection is one of our newest fabric lines in the shop. It is filled with spaceships, aliens, shooting stars and cheerful colors. Stephanie Thannhauser brings joy and fun this space themed collection. We love the adorable aliens floating around space!
Playtime | Jojo Coco Designs
Jojo Coco Designs created the sweet Playtime fabric. Rainbows, alphabets, letters, cheerful colors all create a joyful child-themed fabric collection. This line includes two fabric panels. The Hello Sunshine panel can be used to create cushions and pillows of different sizes. The Alphabet panel is perfect for a baby quilt backing.
Tree of Life | Bee Brown
The Tree of Life fabric collection from Dashwood Studio is designed by Bee Brown. Her magical designs enchant us. A stag with a whimsical tree growing from his antlers creates a lovely panel. Mushrooms, trees, and forest creatures form a charming fabric collection. This fabric line also has a stunning deer fabric panel.
Hello Velo | Jilly Phillips
The bicycle themed Hello Velo fabric by Jilly Phillips is getting us excited for summer rides! Peddling through the city or countryside is a fun activity. This fabric features bikes, trees, cityscapes, and flowers.
Nordiska | Sally Payne
There is so much to love about the Nordiska fabric collection. Sally Payne has incorporated folk art drawings with Scandinavian woodland creatures and foliage. The fun and joyful designs of this collection will leave you bursting with happiness!
Woodland Notions | Nina Raby-Jones
The Woodland Notions collection is a larger fabric line from Dashwood Studio. It is filled with modern and simple designs. The color palette of soft blues, grays, and reds will work beautifully in making quilts, home décor, apparel and bags. This contemporary fabric collection is a classic will stand the test of time.
Acorn Wood | Wendy Kendall Designs
This fabric collection is bursting with fun! Come and visit Acorn Wood. You will enjoy fun forest friends on a beautiful autumn day. Wendy Kendall Designs created this adorable fabric collection for Dashwood Studio. These cotton fabrics work great for children and the young at heart!
Wild | Bethan Janine
Bethan Janine has designed an adorable fabric collection called Wild for Dashwood Studio. These fabrics are filled with forest animals, beautiful landscapes, and colorful flowers. The jewels tones in this collection are perfect for autumn sewing.
Hedgerow | Bee Brown
The Hedgerow fabric collection is another line designed by Bee Brown. Her folk inspired garden fabric is filled with cheerful birds, fluttering butterflies, watering cans to keep the earth alive and colorful blooms. This fabric will and joy and delight to any sewing project.
Silk Roads | Ali Brookes
The Silk Roads fabric collection is inspired by the ancient trade route connecting East to West. The vibrant prints created by Ali Brookes energize a sharing of culture and goods. The bright colors work great for creating quilts, bags, apparel, and home décor.
Rainbow Friends | Stephanie Thannhauser
The Rainbow Friends fabric collection is sure getting us ready for spring! This fabric line is filled with Zebras, Crocodiles, Elephants, Rainbows & Sprinkles. Get ready for the jungle party to begin!

New Beginnings | Lisa Dolson
New Beginnings was inspired by illustrator Lisa Dolson’s daily walks along the local canal path. It is an area of natural beauty, bursting with fresh buds on tress, swans with their nests, and herons flying overhead. This Dashwood Studio fabric collection is a nod to nature and its wonderful way of providing new starts and new opportunities. It reminds us that there is always time for new beginnings. Look for this collection later this month!
Summer Fun | Sally Payne
Summer Fun is a mini collection of fun, playful prints inspired by long hot days spent at the beach, cute characters enjoying an ice cream or a sail on the surf are mixed with colorful prints of beach huts, seaside creatures and smiley suns. We expect this fabric line to arrive later this month.
Flutter By | Bethan Janine
Flutter By is inspired by gardens bursting with blooms and the beautiful butterflies and the little creatures that live amongst the flowers. Decorative florals and foliage are celebrated in a bright summery palette along with dancing dragonflies, snails, bees, and ladybugs. We look forward to receiving this fabric collection this summer.
Twilight
The Twilight fabric collection has the feel of autumn. Crisp air just as the sun starts to go down. This magical time of day brings out bats, owls, and maybe a few spooky friends. This Halloween and fall inspired fabric have us dreaming of trick-or-treating, corn mazes, pumpkin patches, and hot apple cider. There is so much love during the time between day and night. We expected to receive this fabric in the shop this July 2022.
Oh What Fun | Jess Moorhouse
Get ready for holiday sewing with the Oh What Fun fabric from Jess Moorhouse. Santa, stockings, holiday trees, and ornaments decorate the fabric in festive greens, pinks, reds, and gold. Handmade gifts are the best and there are so many sewing options with this adorable Christmas themed fabric. We expect to see this fabric in the shop later this summer.
Winter Folk | Sally Payne
The Winter Folk fabric collection is filled with winter themed Scandinavian folk art design. Adorable forest animals fill the fabric. This six-fabric collection includes a panel that you can make Christmas tree ornaments or little stuffy animals. We can’t wait for this line to arrive. Be on the look-out for it later this summer.
