Rashida Coleman-Hale | Ruby Star Society

As a designer at Ruby Star Society, Rashida Coleman-Hale has been a maker her entire life. Her passion for creating led her to study fashion design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, though she eventually traded her sewing machine for a computer to work as a freelance graphic designer.

After her first child was born in 2006, Coleman-Hale rediscovered her passion for sewing. She started the blog I Heart Linen to document her creative journey and life as a stay-at-home mom. An author as well as a designer, she has created fabric collections for Timeless Treasures, Cloud 9 Fabrics, Cotton + Steel, and Moda Fabrics.
