About Anna Maria Horner
Anna Maria Horner graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Fine Arts. Both painting and clothing design have been an important part of her creative journey. Each fabric collection is rich in color, design, and beauty. In addition to fabric design, she is an author of sewing books, needlework patterns, and a houseware designer. Over the last few years, she has developed the brand Conservatory Craft to feature work from talented artists in fabric design. These designers include Monika Forsberg, Bookhou, and Courtney Cerruti. Made My Day
The Made My Day fabric collection is the most current fabric line from Anna Maria Horner. This collection is filled with beautiful flowers that could be found in a bouquet. Inspiration for this line comes from receiving flowers and how special it is to be thought of. The collection includes 22 fabrics that are lush, bright, and deeply emblematic of the feeling you get when someone has made your day.
Love Always, AM
The Love Always, AM fabric line is a love letter from Anna Maria to us. This core line features fabrics from previous collections and new colorways. There are 32 stunning fabrics in the collection. The fabrics include bold colors and stunning floral designs that work beautifully together or as stand-alone projects. Quilts, clothing, home décor, and bags are among the many sewing projects we can imagine.
Bright Eyes
The Bright Eyes fabric collection from Anna Maria Horner celebrates the extraordinary beauty found in ordinary, everyday surroundings and what happens if you keep your eyes bright and open. Inspired by the garden of a home she was visiting in New Zealand, led to this stunning fabric line. There is both a glow in the fabric as well as optimism when working with these fabrics. This collection perfect for quilting, applique, apparel, accessories and so much more.
Hindsight
Anna Maria Horner's Hindsight fabric collection celebrates 15 years of joyful design work. She has incorporated beautiful past designs with new color palettes. We have a few fabrics left in this gorgeous collection that work perfectly with her most recent fabric collections.
Anna Maria Horner Fabric Collections Arriving Soon
Welcome Home
The Welcome Home collection is inspired by travel and by a recent move. Rather than home being in one location, it represents a journey to visit friends, a landing place for family, or even history with the area. This collection draws on imaginative representations of favorite cities that have felt like home. Different scaled floral, energizing graphics and personal memories create a visually diverse and colorful palette. This collection is scheduled to arrive in our shop in May 2022. We can’t wait to share it with you!
Sewing with Anna Maria Horner Fabrics
Fabric designed by Anna Maria Horner is just a joy to sew with. Her vibrant colors and stunning design create gorgeous projects. Here are few things we have made with her beautiful fabrics over the years.
Gradient Pincushion
Our handmade Gradient Pincushions are a favorite among tailors. They are designed to fit neatly in the throat or along the front of your sewing machine. We have even had a quilter attach it to her design wall! Our pincushions are sewn with high quality designer quilting cotton, cotton canvas and filled with wool. We used fabric from the Bright Eyes collection to create this lovely handmade pincushion.
Inkling Quilt
As soon as the Hindsight fabric collection arrived in the shop, we made the Inkling Quilt. This pattern is designed by Patchwork and Poodles and is fat quarter friendly! The pattern is perfect for the beginner quilter and even offers 8 different quilt size options! It is a quick finish and just sew much fun to make!
Sew Together Bag
The Sew Together Bag pattern from Sew Demented is a popular sized zipper bag. Look at how beautiful the vibrant colors in the floral prints look on this bag! The Sew Together Bag pattern is for the intermediate sewist that has bag making and zipper experience. This useful bag features three zipper pockets and four open compartments for additional storage. The bag is perfect for storing and toting around sewing tools, make-up, office supplies, and anything you need to be organized and easy to access.
Infinity Scarf
This fun infinity scarf was created using woven fabric from Anna Maria Horner. This lightweight scarf has a hidden pocket to store small items when you are out and about. While we do not have a pattern at the moment for this sewing project, we think a tutorial in the future might be fun. What do you think?
