SOHMO’s Australian Beeswax is a traditional sewing tool with a quiet kind of charm - perfect for conditioning thread to reduce tangles, prevent fraying and protect against abrasion as it passes through fabric. Simply pull your thread across the wax to coat it lightly before stitching.
Ideal for embroidery, hand sewing, beading and button attachment, this pure beeswax strengthens thread and helps it glide more smoothly through cloth - especially useful when working with cotton or metallic threads. It also adds durability to seams and buttons, helping them hold up to daily wear.
The SOHMO beeswax is unbleached, untreated and naturally scented with a light honey aroma. Each batch is unique in color - ranging from soft gold to deep tan, depending on the bees’ seasonal forage. Neatly packaged in a small sliding-lid metal tin for easy storage and use.
